Teresa Hudock is the founding director of USC CALIS. Her mission is to promote student-driven analysis, working to ensure teachers have resources they need to unleash students’ critical thinking. To target critical thinking is to cultivate new knowledge and new ideas both for individuals and toward new thinking for humanity. Teresa collaborates with professors and partner teachers to design analytical frameworks that place “concepts in context” with rich detail. These frames provide structure to support clear reasoning, yet remain open and flexible. Students are prepared with tools to manage constant floods of information, and to organize more complex, integrated responses.
