What is Environmental Literacy & Why Does it Matter in HSS?

California’s new HSS Framework integrates the state’s Environmental Principles and Concepts into curriculum guidelines. This session is designed to provide teachers of all grade levels with the tools, strategies, and teacher resources to begin or deepen classroom investigations related to the role of the environment in history-social science instruction. Classroom-application activity and grade-band discussions will round-out the presentation.
