This interactive workshop demonstrates the use of discussion of ethical problems in the context of U.S. history. Specifically, we will introduce participants to a resource for teaching democratic values, Reasoning with Democratic Values 2.0: Ethical Issues in American History and demonstrate strategies for conducting and assessing discussions of ethical issues, using a chapter from the book focused on California history.
