Dr. Daisy Martin of the new History & Civics Project at UC Santa Cruz; Olivia Santillan, Santa Clara County Office of Education; Mark Gomez, Salinas Union High School District; Teachers and administrators in Region 5. In this session, Region 5 History-Social Science Community of Practice CLIC Project and Civic Learning Partnership Leaders will share their findings from implementing an inquiry-based action civics model that synthesizes the C3 Framework Inquiry Arc Dimensions, research on CA Standards-based history-social science topics and applied literacy skills, supporting English learners/emergent bilingual and all students for academic achievement and deeper learning.
